Hello Denver Art Peeps,
In case you weren’t living in Denver in the early part of the century, Art Matters was the beloved section in the art rag, Art Revue. It was a hodge-podge of interesting tidbits about art and all things connected to the art world from Loveland to London. Somewhat like People magazine, Art Matters morphed into a life of its own. In Art Revue, they were the pages first read when it hit reader’s hands. Artists were anxious to see who and what made it to the pages of Art Matters.
It’s been a few years since Art Revue was on the streets and cruising the galleries observing and taking note of the latest, the hottest, the youngest, emerging artists. AR was among the street people weaving through hip galleries on Santa Fe and Navajo and the Golden Triangle. Those nights are remembered with a wicked smile: Hal Gould, Rob Foster, Deane Knox, Sandy Carson, Pirate when it was funky and edgy and dangerous.
Art Matters will gather various art nonsense and report to readers with a quick timely take on First Fridays, new galleries, new artists and what is deemed by Art Matters as important and necessary to the readers of art and culture.
Art Matters welcomes your input, your guest blog posts, your press releases, your invitations, news and (we don’t mind at all) juicy tidbits, weird news and, exceptional news. Think of us as a blank canvas waiting for color, brilliance, brush strokes, lines, layer upon layer of thought that make up a work of art. Then we’ll slowly peel the layers away for your enjoyment, entertainment and daily art fixation. We want you to add to the Art Matters canvas and know, without a doubt, we want your signature on it.
Glad you’re here.
